Living in London N21

So how much do you know about N21, the leafy North London suburb in which you live or perhaps aspire to live?

Whilst we have a London postcode, London N21 is in the Borough of Enfield, nine miles north of Charing Cross. There are just under 9,700 households in the N21 postal district, with Winchmore Hill, Grange Park and Highlands Village each having a distinct identity.

We are a green postcode, with two large parks, Grovelands and Oakwood; a number of smaller green spaces. Bordered by three golf courses (Bush Hill, Enfield and Trent) with Trent Park country park also on our doorstep, this adds up to a lot of green space.

N21 is an affluent postcode, (Winchmore Hill has the highest household income in the Borough, at £48,879 in 2009); a high level of owner occupation and good housing stock, both old and new; including three conservation areas. It is home to a large number of managerial and professional workers and people with higher education qualifications. Our quality of life is good, with excellent schools, numerous decent pubs & restuarants; easy transport links to the City, West End, the M25 and beyond.

Winchmore Hill, was described in a recent article in the Evening Standard as "the suburb that thinks its a village", while Time Out's 'London For Londoners' refers to Winchmore Hill's "opulent tranquillity".

With the help of n21online you can explore the rich diversity of this very attractive suburb of North London.
